- As Financial Controller| Financial Manager, you will be the linchpin of our daily finance operations, playing a critical role in maintaining the smooth running of our operations for our entities worldwide, more specifically Dubai, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Unites Stated and the Netherlands.

What you will do
- Setup and Oversee Financial Operations: Establish and manage the entire financial structure from A to Z for our entities in Dubai, Hong Kong, United States, and Mauritius. This includes everything from invoicing to reporting, ensuring accurate financial data at all times.
- Efficient Reporting: Deliver comprehensive financial reports on a monthly basis, and in some cases, weekly. Speed is essential, and you will need to present accurate, up-to-date financial information to support decision-making.
- Cost Management & Optimization: Identify opportunities to save on costs and improve financial efficiency across the organization. Negotiate favorable terms with vendors and streamline operational expenses.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Oversee invoicing, follow-up on unpaid invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain excellent relationships with debtors and creditors.
- Tax Strategy & Compliance: Work with tax advisors and ensure timely and efficient handling of tax filings and returns across all jurisdictions. Develop tax strategies that optimize tax liabilities while maintaining full compliance with local laws.
- Vendor & Client Relations: Negotiate terms with vendors and liaise with clients regarding invoicing and payments. As well as sending out quotation and invoices.
- Payment Processing & Banking: Manage payment providers (such as Klarna, Stripe), seek favorable currency exchange rates, and handle all bank-related tasks. Oversee the smooth inflow and outflow of funds for our ecommerce brands.
- Expense Reconciliation: Ensure all business expenses are accurately documented, reconciled, and allocated to the appropriate departments or business units. This includes managing credit card expenses and reimbursements.
- Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
- Cash Flow Management: Develop and maintain robust cash flow forecasting processes to ensure liquidity across all business units, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for financial planning.
- Scalable Role: This part-time role will expand over the next 6-12 months as the company grows, offering the potential for full-time engagement and broader responsibilities.
We operate using Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana. Thus, familiarity and hands-on experience with these platforms are critical for this role. The candidate should be fluently English-speaking, showcasing excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. An eye for detail, capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a passion for delivering high-quality work are vital.
What you bring to the table:
- 3+ years of experience in financial management or as a financial controller, ideally with a focus on international markets.
- Proven ability to manage financial operations across multiple entities in different jurisdictions (experience with Dubai, Hong Kong, US, or Mauritius is a plus).
- Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Experience with invoicing, payment processing platforms (e.g., Klarna, Stripe), and banking.
- Ability to negotiate with vendors and manage relationships with debtors and creditors.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in payroll management and accounting for ecommerce businesses.
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of financial compliance and best practices.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using financial management software, as well as Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to conducting business with integrity.
